Athens Halloween Bash
Unseasonably warm temperatures brought out an average-sized but scantily-clad crowd out Saturday night when thousands of Ohio University students, Athens residents and visitors gathered uptown to celebrate Halloween.
While this weekend is the highlight of most students' fall quarter and brings in a large number of out-of-town guests, Halloween has been a cause for concern for OU administrators and city officials for many years. However, despite the warm weather, which tends to draw more people uptown for Halloween, the Court Street party remained relatively calm throughout the night.
Police did report a high number of arrests -- 22 on Friday and 98 on Saturday.
